About Me

My name is Teddy Goyer (they/them/theirs) I am a white, queer, trans, AuDHD, Jewish, disabled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #146919).

I earned my Masters of Science in Counseling with an option in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Northridge. While in graduate school, I completed my traineeship at Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic where I provided therapy to individuals, relationships, groups, and families. During this time, I began to grow my clinical focus in working with queer, trans, and neurodivergent clients.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I taught preschool and children's theater classes. I earned a B.A. in Theater Design and Production from UCLA and I also completed a certificate in Early Childhood Education.

In addition to providing therapy, I offer consultations, providing psychoeducation and resources about queer and trans identities and neurodivergence.  Additionally, I have guest lectured and presented workshops on topics including: Neurodiversity-Affirmative Therapy, Ableism and Mental Health Stigma, Queer- and Trans-Affirmative Therapy, and Mindfulness in School-Based Settings. I am also available for consultation on queer, trans, and neurodiversity-affirmative therapy and in creating queer, trans, and neurodiversity-affirmative spaces.

I look forward to seeing how we can work together!

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 323-577-4288.
